Chole Bhature

Ingredients


1 cup chole soaked overnight
2 med size onions
2 med size tomato
2-3 green chillies slit
2 dried red chillies
Garlic 2-3 cloves
Ginger grated 1 tsp
1 tej patta
1 tsp chole masala
Salt as per taste
Tumemeric/Haldi powder 1/4 tsp
Dhaniya powder 1 tsp
Chilli powder ( as per the spice level required )
Oil 2-3 Tbsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Hing 1/8 tsp

Method for making Chole


Pressure cook the soaked chole, (add little salt)in a pressure cooker for 4-5 whistles then let it cool.
 In a pan take oil, add jeera, hing , dried red chilli,green chilli, tej patta,and onions and sauté till golden brown then add ginger and garlic sauté for a minute and add the chopped tomatoes and mix well and cook till it is soft and the oil senates out.

 Add salt dhaniya powder haldi powder chole masala and chilli powder and mix well. Now add the boiled chole and a cup of water mix well and cook for 10-15 mins till the proper required consistency is got. Garnish with chopped coriander. 
  

Ingredients for Bhatura


1 cup maida or all purpose flour
1/4 cup sooji
2-3 tsp oil for Maun
Salt 1 tsp
1/4 cup yogurt

Method


Mix all the ingredients and knead it into a soft dough with luke warm water and set aside for 30 minutes covered with a wet cloth.

Make small balls/peda sized from this dough and roll it into like puris and fry them in oil or ghee. Serve with chopped onions and lemon
